hey all,
I had a few problems but when I started bleeding I figured I was doing it right!
I know its crude but I'm proud anyway. Now I just got to find some more of those thin flakes and go get some band aids.
seriously its a little to thick at the base but I couldn't get a flake to go across it to save my A$$. it started out a lot bigger but I think it would inflict some serious damage on a small rodent. OH, one other thing I learned was not to knap flint indoors on the carpet....Maybe in bed while I watch TV would be a good Idea!

thats great for your first try!

Put that on a stick and hit something with it, it'd do the job. Well done.

thats pretty damn good for a first.

I don't see anything wrong with the thickness. With lots more blood, band-aids & practice you can keep the thickness & make them longer and wider.

Hook, looks alot better than my first attempt, gotta give some blood once awhile ;D keep after it an they will get thinner an thinner, Looks good. Maybe I'll run into ya at the Bald Eagle Knapin this summer. Later Bob

Looks good. I've seen TONS of "real" points that weren't near that symmetrical.
Keep having fun. I'm just starting too and it is getting nearly as addictive as making bows!
