Fine lookin' points, Jamie.

Very nice Jamie.

Nice Jamie. It's just like riding a bicycle...I'm still on training wheels! ;D Pat
-
Your points are inspiring. I need to remember how. I may be past training wheels, but I still ride a big 3 wheel bike. ;D Justin

thanks alot guys. the thing that kills me is i get a lot of steps at first. then once i cure that i always manage to break the tip trying to go too thin. then it sort of all clicks. peace
-
Jamie, that's pretty much the same method I use :)
-
Yep, that's Mohogany. Nice lookin points, and fun to make - if you have the time. I've learned just like everything else that if you break a few you just have to put it down and come back later. I see by that one laying on the ground there you persisted.
-
I break the tips off of plenty. I work the tip back to a point and save them in my tool box to give to kids when they stop to watch. Justin
-
i do the same for the boy scouts. they ask every year if i could make arrows for an awards ceromony. so the underweight go to them
-
Very nice points jamie, you do some fine work.

Looks like you got a regular amunition factory goin on around there - lots of fun ;D
-
Fantastic points! Do you have any words of wisdom or advice for beginners who don't have access to a mentor to learn the trade? Thanks Tracy
-
yup, your in the right place. if one of us doesnt know something the others will so ask anything you want. peace
-
Great lookin' points Jamie! What weight do you shoot for in your hunting weight points?
-
pete i dont shoot for a given weight. i just match the head to the shaft. weak shaft light head, strong shaft heavy head. then i cull out my arras by how they shoot. if they dont hit or fly well they go in the gift quiver. i give em to shoots for trophies and kids and scouts. peace
