Nice Jamie. It's just like riding a bicycle...I'm still on training wheels! ;D    Pat

Your points are inspiring. I need to remember how.  I may be past training wheels, but I still ride a big 3 wheel bike.  ;D Justin

Yep, that's Mohogany. Nice lookin points, and fun to make - if you have the time. I've learned just like everything else that if you break a few you just have to put it down and come back later. I see by that one laying on the ground there you persisted.

I break the tips off of plenty.  I work the tip back to a point and save them in my tool box to give to kids when they stop to watch.  Justin

i do the same for the boy scouts. they ask every year if i could make arrows for an awards ceromony. so the underweight go to them

Fantastic points! Do you have any words of wisdom or advice for beginners who don't have access to a mentor to learn the trade? Thanks Tracy

Great lookin' points Jamie! What weight do you shoot for in your hunting weight points?

pete i dont shoot for a given weight. i just match the head to the shaft. weak shaft light head, strong shaft heavy head. then i cull out my arras by how they shoot. if they dont hit or fly well they go in the gift quiver. i give em to shoots for trophies and kids and scouts. peace
