Title: Evolution of a point (pic heavy)

Won't take a long time to explain. This should be pretty self-explanatory.

The rock came from Cipriano, he called it uvalde gravel. I heated it overnight at a little over 400 degrees. Turned out nice, but...

Man that is a bummer! Was turning into a really nice point too. Oh well, there's more rocks out there.

Looks like a guy could salvage two good hunting points outa that. (I excell at making hunting points from blades I just had to whack one more time.(Lots of experience  :)

I feel your pain too.  Being OCD can be a real detriment to flint knapping.  I need to spall out some rock similar to that.

Sorry to see the breakage.  I dont think theres anyone here that hasnt broken a few.
