I usually go to a Ohio Society of Traditional Archers shoot (OSTA) ,and the Great Lakes Long bow Invitational (GLLI)in Mich. in July
As for the biggest gathering ,maybe Compton in Bearing Springs, Mi.
But the most fun is probably The Tennessee Classic!

the ETAR(eastern traditonal archery rendevous),or as us local penn boys call it,Denton. its located in "gods country" pennsylvania(potter county),which is in beautiful north central pa.
its prob the biggest trad event(glass and wood)here in the u.s., and almost all the bigger name glass bowyers will be there, and a few natural materials guys as well. if i remember right its held in july
not sure of the biggest primitive(all natural materials)is...marshall in michigan is mem day weekend...not monstrous huge like those other events listed, but sometimes i like the small charm of a smaller crowd shoot

aeta,
July 19-22 is the primative archery event called Mojam in Marshall Missouri. Look up Marshall Bowhunters for the website for info. There are also announcements for it in the PA magazine.
Hope to see you there...
