Title: Isaac and the hickory bow

I have been enjoying the other part of the process and that is watching my son enjoying archery. Here is a pic of a happy kid.

I generally prefer to avoid the presence of kids.  Isaac is one glaring exception to that rule.  He's a great kid, a good conversationalist, and a wonderful companion to shoot with.

Do you havr more pics or perhaps a thread on that particular bow? It looks great and he sure looks happy. Thars what i look forward to most in progressing as a bowyer.. gifting bows to others

Well thats cool for you to do. JW Halverson built this bow. Hopefully he is reading this and will jump on this thread

Uh, yeah, it's a, well...um...bow?

About all I can remember is that it is really long, red oak with rawhide backing and some snakeskin slipped on it.  It wasn't fully finished at the time, but I gave it to Isaac so would get some use.  I'm just happy it's getting used!

Did Isaac ever put any finish on the bow?
