Title: Ryano Scores one finally!
Post by: Ryano on November 06, 2007, 06:25:26 pm
Shot this 8 pointer this morning around 9:30 I was after his big brother or dad who was running a doe around me all morning but this guy just offered me to great a shot....Took him at about 8 yards with my Osage character bow and a cedar arrow tipped with a 125 grain magnus head. The arrow went clean threw him behind the right front shoulder and came out at the last rib on the other side. I must have got both lungs because he barely made it out of my sight before for he expired. Probally went 30 yards from where he was standing when I shot him. As you can see we got our first snow last night and this morning......bur.......it was a cold morning.

Nice!   It's great to see how well these bows perform when put to the test.

Congrats, Ryan-nice buck. I like to hunt in snow, even if it is cold and wet. Just something nice about being out in the woods with those big goose feathers falling.
