Title: "chips" magazine stack for trade...
Post by: seminolewind on August 31, 2014, 07:00:18 pm
I have a stack of Chips flintknapping magazines that I am done with. These were put into publication by D.C. Waldorf and have a wealth of information and feature a different knapper every month.

Would like to trade these for some colorful knapable rock preferably heat treated. PM if interested...

heck  I wish.. so far no one has reached that level of dagger making that I know.. that is the magnificent   Hindsgavl Dagger from the Neolithic period of 2400 -1800 B.C...the absolute finest example of Master flint-knapping.. the largest and most colorfull,, and less than 1cm thick in the blade..
the  APEX PREDATOR of flint-knapping.................so no it aint mine :'( :'( :'(

James I am looking for a medium flat rate of good stone preferably with color I dont need big spalls necessarily just some 3" spalls that will make some good sets of points. People are always wanting color so Im trying to get some to fill orders with. I also am looking for a check free straight piece of ERC about 3" in diameter and 2'-2.5' in length to make a flute with.

Thanks man !

ere's the first cedar chunk. It's 4X6X29" the 6" span has some un solid sap wood left on one corner and a little bit of a bughole left near that but the bottom of the bughole aint very deep.
I'll get pics of the second chunk tomorrow.
