I've been making a lot of primitive fire lately using the hand drill. My son just turned three and is shadowing me. Thought I'd share a picture. I love it!

That just gave me one heck of a grin!

That boy makes me grin everyday, JW!!
Just do it everyday like I do, Bill... Lol. Your hands will get used to it then. It's only two weeks of pain.

Very nice! Never too young to learn skills like that!

Little Jonah prolly has tougher hands than most grown men...LOL

Jon, that sure looks familar, and thanks for not showing any pics of old fire builders. ;D had a good time shootin with you and Bill and all the fire building was just frosting on the cake. I got one yesterday with your white pine and horseweed. Thanks Jon. Bob

I had a great time also, Bob. I learn more every time I'm around you! I enjoyed watching you knap that point. Wish I could have gave it a try but my son would have been right in there. One of these days I'll get a good lesson from ya. Hope to see you down my place hunting in a few weeks. Sure was fun making fire. That horseweed is a great combo on that pine.... But I think the mugwort is a tad better. Seems like I get a bigger coal. Speaking of fire.... You were on fire with that bow!!!

Now that's cool! Looking at that pic, I would say it's safe say that the Apple didn't fall far from the tree. Looks just like ya! Josh

Ya he's gonna be a chip off the block, Josh. Didn't need a DNA test for that boy...lol I've been getting lots of play time in the garage because he loves it up there and he's stays out of mom's hair
