This is a bow very similar the last yew recurve I made with Mr. Strunk.
2" longer top limb, 1/4" positive tiller, and a stiff handle. There was a big deflex in the stave, but I dont mind.
Really nice dark heartwood and very tight rings. I tried to fancy it up a bit with some cherry bark,
and did my best attempt at a Strunk wrap. The girl I made the bow for likes purple, but to be honest,
I like it too ;) Abalone arrow pass, and cowhorn tips.
The bow took very little set, 40# aint much for a stave like this.
It shoots smooth, it was a hard one to let go!
58" ntn and pulls 40# at 26"
I know I've been posting lots of bows lately, thats cuz I've been making lots of bows!
thanks for lookin

Nice. All your bows look amazing.

Beautiful bow and background scenery as always. Bare trees and snow here so I love seeing all that green. Really nice work. :)
-
Sweet bow and very graceful looking sweep at full draw, also liking those tips and bark accents. I bet the
girl getting that one will be thrilled with it. Oh, and keep posting up the bows, always look forward to seeing what you came up with on the next.

Real nice rock star, add another 20 degrees to your hooks on the next one and see what you think. I don't blame you for burning through the yew man, its easy on the elbows. Id be a damn hoarder if I had yew anywhere around here.

Lovely bow, the purple though......
That tree looks like a hum dinger
