This a bow that sat in my corner for a long time. The tips were a little out of line and I didn't really know how to correct it at the time.
The profile is all natural, except the top tip was slightly flipped to match the bottom.
Its 60" ntn which is pretty long for any ocean spray that grows around here
Some knots were violated on the back, so I backed it with rawhide just to be safe.
I posted some pics of this bow a while back, I was concerned about belly cracks around pin knots that seem to haunt all of my ocean spray bows.
Its shot over 600 hundred arrow so far, and seems to be holding up just fine, so i'll keep on shooting her.
Its a nice bow to shoot, its 42# @ 27", so it doesnt wear me out so bad.
I wanted to try some new finishing techniques, so I thought this would be a good bow to experiment on.
I used leather dyes, and its finished with tung oil. Sheep horn tip overlays, Strunk style grip.
I used some sturgeon scraps to try and fancy her up a bit.
Cheers guys thanks for lookin, - Goat

Beautiful bow goat, you did good

That is a nice bow Ryan. I always like a bow made from a smallish diameter stave with the natural character left in it. You handled the tiller perfectly too and I like how you dressed her up real nice with your finish work.
-
Sweet Ryan!!! :D
-
Sweet bow you long haired hippy rock star. Its crazy how little wood is required to make a hunting weight OS bow.

That is outstanding! Nicely done. Jawge

Great looking bow Goat. I like the dye job and the sturgeon skin accents.

Very nice work Ryan! Only seen a few ocean spray and man is it dense heavy for its size.

Nicely done. Excellent work, all the way around. I like the way the backing and grip material complement each other and the great profile!

That is a sweet bow. That unbraced profile with the slight reflex plus flipped tips is killer.
Beautiful bend and finish Goat! The arrows are top notch too 8)
