made another hook from a raw gravel flake with sinew string

Here's the flake and the preform

That little guy is rad. So, that's the same flake that made the hook? The stone color and your glove color like flip flop in the pictures haha.

Very nice work. Have you ever tested them to see how much weight they can withstand? Noah

Very cool, now let's see it with a fish wrapped around it!
Great work 1442

Bowmo, it's all the same cept the gloves, I couldn't hold it with the leather gloves as it got smaller.
Took me about forty five minutes on this one.
Electric... I have tested them, they are stronger than they look like they would be.
I bet I could place a piece of leather strap to pull directly on the point, hooked to a scale and pull ten pounds pressure on a string tied to the shank. That's plenty strong to catch some pretty good size fish with.
Biggest I've caught so far is about two and a half pounds, but I've hooked and fought a couple four pounders that tried to pull me in before they come unhooked. I paused 1/10,000 of a second on the second four pounder right before I swung him in and he used a portion of that time to get off and splash water in my face.
We have had some major spring flooding going on but when the water settles I hope to be having fish in the pictures along with a fishing report
I hate posting hook pictures with no fish ???
Aaron, I'll git er done!

Very nice. The ultimate would be to catch a fish with your hook.

Thanks!
I've caught a few fish on the stone hooks.
Here's a pic I found on photo bucket of a goggleye caught on one.
Most fish pics I had where lost in a computer crash.
