TwinOaksBowhunters will be hosting the 8th annual IBO Traditional world again this year at or club at 1079 Ashley rd. Chapmansboro, TN.37035. on July 15/16/17 2016. For info and rules/classes/ go to the IBO web site and look under Traditional events or [twinoaksbowhunters.org]. Hope some of yall can make it out, it is a fun event. Along with the IBO Championship we will have a Classic TwinOaks hunter challenge range run separate from the IBO courses with separate awards and some shoot down involved in the top scores sponsored by 3Rivers archery and Lancaster Archery. We also will have a good list of great vendors on hand for all your needs. Hope to see ya in July.cell 615-456-5961.
By the way we do have a lot of selfbows at this event and also have a selfbow shoot off for the top 10 shooters on the Hunter Challenge range on Saturday evening. It is sponsored by Arvin[here on PA] C&D Archery and TwinOaks,very fun event. Love to see a good turnout of selfbow folks. ;)

I will be there and shoot selfbow this year to help push our numbers up and set a new Trad World record for #'s of Selfbow shot. I see IBO finally got the Class name cleared up to (Selfbow). Us Tennessee fellers with have a good showing I'm sure!

Cool Smag, yes I would love to see us beat last year, I think we had around 30 selfbows, Arvin can probably remember the number , but pretty darn good for an event like this. I thought it was a good showing and the shoot down was really cool to watch also. ;) :) Some of them folks were amazed, they didn't know you could shoot a real stick and string like that without FG. ;) :)

Yeah I was there for that I saw Paul M. there and the fella from yer farm, his name escapes me? I have to get some decent spined and weighed 5/16, 32" 40-45 shaft for this new Winged Elm selfie. Only tops out at 41@28 so will need a lighter arrow for yer buddy (Levy's) 25yd shots (actually 27yds). ;D
Buck holler was gud, as is Life. Wish I had got there earlier and shot with ya all.

Pappy I can't remember but there was enough to knock me out of the top ten. >:( course I can't shoot so that don't count much. It was good and I hope this year there is 40 in it. It's a great time no matter how many show. The cream always comes to the top. No matter how many shoot. Can't wait to see the Twin Oaks gang. Arvin

You'll get him fixed up Purdy gud I hope. I know the course they put in at the Winter Nationals was no walk in the park. Never saw if he was there and put it in but I am guessin that happened.
Just finished my 2016 selfbow and shot it at LBL Sat. Chunks a 525grn arrow nice. Should get some new shafts this week fer it. Gil and I will come over and shoot!

Would a board bow work for the selfbow shoot? It's kind of the only wood I have access to right now unless I can get my hickory selfbow I made a couple of years ago up to par.

I'm going to shoot Second Chance and see if I can do better than last year. Hope you order the cool weather.

We are going to start laying out the courses this weekend, The Hunter Challenge range is going up by the Spirit station for the first time in a long while, that will be really cool especially for a lot of the folks that haven't seen it before. Thanks again for those that painted it up this year. ;) :)Very special. :)

We had a good weekend, got all the ranges laid out and Targets hauled to where they belong, now just need to set them up with the shooting stakes. Got Big Will into the action. :)

How is the paint holding up this year as it got rained on before it was clear dry i been a wondering and ain't seen any pic 's of it since we left there

Well we got the A range out yesterday the B range goes up today and then the C range Saturday. After that we move on to the Hunter Challenge range, if a person like to shoot arrows this will be the place for sure. Hope to see some of you self bow guys show up so we can show them glass folks that these are more than a toys we make and proudly shoot. ;) :)

Cool video bow looks good and seems to shoot nice, you know you are going to have to shoot wood/cain in the IBO with self bow. ??? :) No I doubt I will shoot at Buck Hollow, I think it's the week before and just to much to do. :-\ I am sure some of the guys will go over but I probably won't. :) We are setting the last IBO range today, going much quicker than I figured it would. That's cool , it will give us more time to doll up the Hunter Challenge range. ;) :)

Well all the ranges are set, we set the Hunter Challenge this weekend and I think it is going to be pretty cool, got one Buff shot that has 7 wolfs coming in on him and a couple of really cool bear set ups, we still have a few weeks so plan on really dolling it up for yall. ;)

I saw that post. It's pretty generic. It's a picture that was already posted here and just a "there's small, medium, and large targets" statement that's pretty true for any shoot.
I wouldn't put much concern into it.

ONE MORE DAY! I just need to make it through the next eight hours at work and I can go home, finish airing out the tent, get my clothes and gear packed and be ready to hit up Wally World tomorrow morning and get groceries (I.E. Beer) and head that way!

Already up here at the house. Talked to Adam Hammond coming up with Blob targets. He got my replacement already marked form me. Foggy this morning here too. Careful to all travelling Friday!!

Well we got it done, great event. About 500 folks showed and in that group a lot of good selfbow shooters, meet a lot of new friends to boot. I will have some pictures up when I get back to work. Now for the clean up. Pappy

Hey, you did a wonderful job with the ranges and eradicating the course of the 29yrd Wolverine shots "if ya know what I mean"? I heard so many great comments about the Championship course. One fella said "this course was easier than the Classic" and he said that with a big smile.
I tried to bring home the Bacon for the local boys in the Selfbow shoot-down but Bob Enlow was solid. Was fun to make it all way to end. Think I was the only guy on Range C Sunday with a white wood bow which was cool too.
Like to thank you ,the Club, IBO, 3Rivers and all the folks who make it a gud time.
Life is truly Gud.
