At MOJAM this last weekend I made a couple of bows for my Godsons, Lucas and Ryan. They are 6 year old identical twins that are pretty big for their age. They've neither one quite got the whole archery form thing down just yet. These bows are likely a bit heavy for them yet, ...but they'll grow into these little bows in no time I'm sure!
Edge grained Osage, 50 inches tip to tip, raw hide backing with leather handle wrap, Dogwood tip overlays, 25# @ 20 inches. One has some character to the stave, the other is pretty much a straight limbed bow.
I'll try to get some better pix of these bows close-up when the boys stop sleeping with them... :)

Those bows should last those two a long time. I wonder how long before they start shooting at each other with them? Nice work Eric.

Nice work! They are going to have lots of fun with those. Edge-grain? Cool!!

Nice Eric. Love seeing those little ones getting interested in archery. I know how the not getting the whole form thing goes. My grandson Charlie gets so excited hard for him to slow down enough to hear any instructions. lol.

Good on ya Eric! They are more than likely a little stout for em right now, but they look pretty determined to get em yanked back regardless. They should keep em slinging arrows for several years. If you can keep em in arrows that is ;). Josh
