This is my first Trade Bow for the annual bow trade. It's hickory, 48#@26". Rawhide backing on the handle that was etched with a wood burner. Handle overlays are bloodwood and zebrawood. I used deer antler for the tip overlays. I dyed the back with red and black leather dyes. Rest is just a standard floppy rest. I've been waiting for my guy to get his bow so I could post some pictures I took before I sent it out.

Nicely done Sir.
-
Nice man. Looks great. I dig that you waited. Surprises are fun.
-
You did a fantastic job on the bow. It was pure joy watching the trials and tribulations you went through working that stave into a bow. I for one have been most impressed with your diligence and hard work. Exemplary performance Aaron!!!, and congratulations on your accomplishment.

Great bow, love the art work and everything about it.
-
That is sweet, nice attention to detail. Is it backed with bark?
-
Thank you all for the comments. I really enjoyed the trade I participated in. The trade and the people involved in it are the sole reason the bow turned out the way it did. Can't wait till next year Fred!!
Mullet....that's actually just the natural back. I stained the back with a darker color then buffed some of that color off and went over it with the red. Paulsemp did a similar finish on a bow he posted. He was kind enough to fill me in on his technique. The handle is backed with rawhide and then etched with a wood burner.
