This was a bit of fun to use up some left over pieces. 40ish#@14. 24 inches long. Hornbeam handle and rowan for the rest of the core, deer leg sinew, croaker bladder glue.
I have made up some little hazel arrows and it doesn't half punch them out. I'll see if I can chrono some shots today.

Very nice work. That would have fit right in at the Marshall shoot last summer.
-
Super cool, I like that!
-
That would be a nice Carriage bow. Or, it would be cool seeing your 8 year old shooting a real horn bow for a first bow.
-
Thanks fellas!
I chronoed it yesterday with a 300 or so grain arrow and it did about 165fps average with a 14 inch draw. I made up a flight arrow for a bit of fun with it and will launch it later today. It is about 120 grains.

Cool work Mike, looks very well made
-
That is one cool little bow!
-
Nice work.Cool bow and a good name...Mighty Mouse!!!!
-
Sweet little bow!
whats the overall length?
-
Thanks fellas, it was fun to make :)
Overall length is 24 inches or so.
-
That's great I was thinking maybe something like that as a first try out horn/sinew bow :)
Can't wait for the flight arrow chrono reading....

Very cool! I have some little bighorn slats I didn't want to waist that should make a 20-25" bow when I have time.
-
I got the flight arrow finished, 148 grains. 220 - 225 fps. I haven't had a chance to shoot it for distance yet. It has kept a lot of reflex and doesn't really show much sign of stress.
-
Yikes! that's fast
-
Wow..
-
Impressive
-
Mike at 225 fps it could get you as much as 350 yards. How long is the arrow?
-
The arrow is around 14 1/2 inch. I haven't had a chance to shoot it for distance yet. I'm sure it could be shot with lighter arrows as they are still stiff at that length.

Nice little bow
