Good Evening Awesome People!
On February 28 my 4 month old grand-daughter will have open heart - full bypass surgery! She has a condition with a long name. The short version in 22Q - y'all can look it up iffn ya mind to. It manifests in a number of physical and mental alterations to the body. In her case - the chambers of her heart did not align when they fused and she has a hole and few other things with the muscle which need some repair. Other things will appear as she ages - just not sure what. Needless to say - there is a little stress in our house.... Many thanks to you all for all of the words of encouragement, support, and prayer which have been greatly appreciated over the years!

Ben prayers for your granddaughter and family. May you all have strength, peace and healing. I know all to well the stress of watching a young one go through these major surgeries. My son had brain tumor at 7 months old he had 54 surgeries by age 5yr. Sometimes I honestly didn't even know what to pray for anymore. He is now 18 and doing great. I thank god every day. The doctors can do great things don't forget to pray for them. Bless you all

tomorrow is the day! Looks like she will be getting a "homeopathic, de-celled" valve replacement. That is an infant heart valve with no cell nuclei so there is little chance of rejection. Not sure of all the other details.... Surgery is at 6am pacific time.
Thanks again!

Per my daughter and the rest of our family - Thank You! :'( Today was rather stressful! After a 5 hour surgery Angelica is in the PICU. Lots of monitors and tubes. Surgery went well. Now we just wait. I will try to get my daughter to e-mail me some pics for y'all. Turns out the valve she got was from a person who was hung. We will have a ceremony when she gets home make sure no one is hanging around.
Thank You All again so much!

Glad it turned out well. I'm sure that whomever had it before would not begrudge an infant but then a good smudging wouldn't hurt
-
Thanks for the update Ben, I've been wondering how she was doing.

Angelica is doing well. Mom got to hold her today!

Great news Ben, will keep praying. She is a cute little girl, I'm sure she'll be a real fighter. Stay strong and don't let all those tubes scare you. They are still babies that want to be held and comforted. Nice pictures
