Title: Glooh from ghoti
Post by: Ballasted_Bowyer on April 06, 2017, 12:40:41 am
How many handfuls of fish skin does it take to make a handful of glue? Should the skin have the scales removed first? Is there any part of the fish that should definitely not be part of the glue or should I throw the whole thing in minus the part I eat? The fish are about to go nuts in Oregon. I expect to get my fair share.

The fish glues I've seen were made from the air bladders of certain fish. Never heard of using scales for glue.

Just fore kicks I soaked som bluegill hides for about 16 hours at 190f no gelatin was created. I did find some howtos on the internet with fish. I guess I had the temp wrong.
