interesting projects please post progress. Or at least tell us some funny stories about working red hot iron with bare feet.

what is the half round item?

Thanks guys ;D I got some grinding done today tomorrow I go back to work but hopefully I can do some hand sanding and heat treat in the afternoon.
The "half round" item is a bit of coil spring that became the plain neck knife on the left(which hasn't been claimed yet O:))
And so long as you don't drop anything forging bare foot isn't a problem, but if you do you better have quick feet ;D

Well no heat treat today and still more hand sanding to do yet, I'll update again when I get them hardened

Looking good.  I'm also a fan of drop points.  The middle one would make a great deer skinner.

That's what pat wanted it for ;D

Very nice Dylan, I really like the small one on the bottom. When I was a kid we went all summer barefooted. I could walk over anything. Afraid I'm a tenderfoot now.lol.

Got some more work done on these, sharpened and made temporary paper sheaths for them.
The skinner and the curlyque neck knife are ready to be mailed to pat B
And the plain neck knife I'm going to finish  ;D

Now what wood should I use on it? I've got blood wood and some honeysuckle burl.

Did you ever do both on one knife?
Nice work on the metal.

I've done it before but it can look too "busy" really fast. And also this knife is really small so I'll use just one.
Leaning towards the burl right now

Can't go wrong with burl..  :OK

Hi guys so I've been bad about keeping this updated, but I got the neck knife finished  :BB
Here it is with my crude leather work and a close up of the burl grain.

And I must have done something right because pat asked me to make him another skinner  ;D
It's the narrow one in this picture the wider one is for a guy at work and the dagger I just did on the spur of the moment.
