I would like to take a moment to show you all a bow I just finished. It is a osage bow with some character. I dyed the back of the bow with a red/brown leather dye before applying the snake skins. I hand painted the tips and sides of bow with colors to enhance the beauty of the skins and the dark orange of the osage. I used black cow horn for the tip overlays and a black leather handle to pull it all together. The bow shoots very fast, quiet, and draws super smooth. Bow is 60" long and is 52#@25". Made right here in the Laurel Mountains of Pa. Anthony Marchese.(http://i.imgur.com/7zVYFtm.jpg)

Thx everyone!! Danznbar I have made a good many over a lot of years. I started off taking lessons from Jim Hamm a long time ago. I was out of it for a long time because work didn't alow the time needed for the builds. Now I have some free time again and im starting to get some rolling again. There for awhile I only made one or two a year for hunting.

Very pretty bow sir. I'm partial to red dye on wood in the first place, ...but those curves on the tips really set this one off nicely!

Thx a lot of people are liking the red colors used. I used a red leather dye under the skins and then accented them with the red and black paint to pull all the colors together. I then used the black horn tips and black leather handles to make it all pop. Yes to all of you who asked about and stated she looks like a good shooter. She is super quiet, extremely fast, and just a blast to shoot. Gonna be tuff to see this one go.
