Yes things like that usually make my heart skip a bit  ;D.  Maybe a clamp will keep things in place?

 Did the nock split off, or it just flipped because it was at low brace height? I have had nocks split off one one edge when trying to brace reasonably stout yew staves.

Love the character on that stave, can't wait to see how this one turns out.

There is a temporary nock overlay and the groove was rather shallow, it was braced so low the string just slipped out of the groove.
I've filed the groove deeper and braced it higher now :) (changed my underwear too )
