Title: String pads for siyah base? How to?
Post by: DuBois on September 25, 2017, 05:35:47 pm
Just wondering how you guys fix the leather or other type of pads that the string rests on and strikes when released.
What materials do you typically use for these and what glues?
Ever use them on working recurves?
Thanks,
Marco

A section of hardwood at the right spot on a static and something like stacked leather if there is any degree of working in the recurve section.

Epoxy for hardwood, superglue or barge cement for leather.
