We'll have out first freeze tomorrow night. Leaves are a little slow this year but maybe the cold snap will kick the color to get going.

Mullet -break out the parkas and stoke up the fire >:D (=)!  We are into Indian Summer out here, got the hard. Freeze and a bit of snow, now back into the 50-60 degree range, and some mud, to go with the snow!  What leaves are left look pretty, but had some wnd too.

Yep it is supposed to turn colder here this week also, down in the high 30s at night and the leaves are changing, it has been very dry until last night and this morning so the leaver are not as pretty as they sometimes are, but falling very fast now, another week and most trees will be bare. :) Beautiful picture DC.

Although it's been unseasonably warm here in upstate NY, the leaves are still in full swing. The trees don't care about the temp, they go by hours of daylight. That is a beautiful pic DC. My wife's been bugging me to bust out the blower.  :-\

The colors here were probably at their peak today. Now the wind is blowing and it's raining. The trees probably will lose a lot of them overnight

We had 8" of rain today from midnight to 2:30 this afternoon with pretty good wind. Lost power for a couple of hours then clear skies.
The oaks are just starting to turn. Poplars are bare, birch turning, gums and sourwood are nice, dogwoods almost done. I think our color will be sporadic at best. Generally the 3rd week in October is peak color but not this year. We should have already had a frost but not yet. Our freeze should be tomorrow night.

Nice picture BJ. We don't get the differences in colour here on the wet coast. Dogwoods turn reddish but that's about it. Everything else just yellows. That group of Big Leaf Maples catches the morning sun and glows nicely.

Yes DC the one thing about the emerald ash bore is that the maples and oak are filling in the spaces. It's giving us more different colors. Really windy since I took that picture and not much sun since then either.
