I could have traded you a 7 point rack Pappy.  When I was younger it seems like that was all I shot for a few years.

Thanks guys, Hawkdancer we had a very good friend of the club, although not ever a member he was very close to most of the founders of Twinoaks. He came up with an idea to have a TwinOaks grand slam, since most of us only bow hunted , he had a very nice board made with with paintings across the top with a doe/spike/3/4/5/6/7/8+ painted on it, as you would take one of these you get you name on a brass plate in that slot, the club puts 100.00 in a kitty each year and the first to fill it get the cash. It started in 1994 and I won it in 2003 , it took 4 years for me to get a 6 point on the first one. We started it over in 2003 and all I have needed for 5 years was a 7 point, BigA was with in 3 deer of filling it and my son Beau only needed a 6 to finish. I know some don't like this kind of stuff when it comes to deer hunting but believe me it is all done with the greatest respect for the animal. It started over officially on Saturday the 21st Oct 2017.

Thanks, best of luck on getting the 8 point!  The respect for the animal is/should be first and foremost for all hunters, to compliment them for the challenge of the hunt.  Sooner or later, you may have to reset the board to keep the younger/new members interested.  There is a limit on how lond the deer live and how many points they can grow :-D :).  Congratulations again.
