I am going to splice some billets for a 76" 125# bow, what type of splice you you recommend for this?

do you have 48" to work with on each bilet? epoxy for sure if it bends in the handle

I have 57" long, I have a big pear log that I sawed up and am seasoning, I plan to use a lot of it for war bows and elbs. I am going to back it with either ash, maple or white oak.

If you can manage a one piece backing I don't think the splice is that big a deal.

I ended up making a xylophone out of the wood. It was the Bradford pear and I decided against using it.
