Had a hard time getting my phone to focus. Here's where it's going. I made a wicked little osage kids bow and tuned some Red Osier shoot shafts to it. Usually put a copper wire I cold forge a point on. This ones going to get some Flint Ridge.

Thanks Bill. It's actually very sharp. I'm going to have to get this whole set bow, arrows and quiver finished up completely and get some pictures. This kids bow set up is really sweet. I still don't know who's going to get it but it's a lot of fun. It's even big people fun.
Thanks Zuma

BJ, you need to pack up and head east to the ridge either Memorial day weekend or Labor day weekend, Get ya some big pcs of ridge material, any color ya like. Just bring your ccard and shop to ya drop.  Seriously if ya ever do come to the ridge give me a holler , I always got at least one dry corner in the pyramid tent and a couple of extra pancakes in the morning.  I like your arrow and point , looks dang deadly. Thanks Outback it's on my bucket list for sure. I'd love to hit the one in New York to forget the name but the Grand Canyon of the east. Had plans to go two years ago but life got in the way. I do have one pretty good sized biface I've been saving for when I get better. I knocked a few flakes off and it's smooth as a baby's bottom. I thought one of those tiny flakes might be just what I needed to make a point for this arrow. Very nice material.

Brian, too bad you didn't make it to New York two years ago.  Chris I was there for a week.  It's called Letchworth knap in.  It is small but a great venue.  I heard they moved it to the spot where we set up to be closer to the two swimming pools which came in handy a couple of times during the day.

It is called the Grand Canyon of the east for a good reason..We also got some great bicycling in while we were there.

That's the one Jeb. If I remember right it's the weekend before Flint Ridge and there not that far away from each other.

I'm really looking forward to hitting Flint Ridge, myself.  I visit Roy Miller last summer and was allowed to pick up some beautiful stuff.  Love working Ridge material.

Maybe this labor day...maybe.

I think it's cool that you've taken your point and hafted it.  That speaks for itself.

Thanks Steve I remember your post of your visit with Roy. Really awesome, my wife would probably have to take me by the ear to get me to leave there.
It is amazing stuff. I actually had the arrow ready before the point. I knapped the point with every intention of halving it to that arrow.

My in-laws live in the Flint Ridge area of OH. How would I go about getting in touch with Roy Miller.  Or are you talking about a different Flint Ridge..?

Paul I believe that's the area. I  think I'd PM Parnell about meeting up with Roy. I've never been to Flint Ridge or met Roy.
