Title: Heat and unibond?
Post by: JWMALONE on April 16, 2018, 04:30:56 pm
Hey guys, I was wondering if you can heat treat a bow after a bamboo backing has been applied with unibond 800?
Or would this adversely affect the unibond?

I've reheated a reflexed limb and it didn't have any adverse affects.  I would try and minimize the heat going to it though.
Boiling point of unibond is 338 deg F.  Boiling point of TB3 is 210 deg F for comparison.

As far as a good deep heat treat I would say not a good idea.   But maybe someone has tried it...
