Hey guys, I was wondering if you can heat treat a bow after a bamboo backing has been applied with unibond 800?
Or would this adversely affect the unibond?
-
I've reheated a reflexed limb and it didn't have any adverse affects. I would try and minimize the heat going to it though.
Boiling point of unibond is 338 deg F. Boiling point of TB3 is 210 deg F for comparison.

Thanks Ben, it is a retreat.

As far as a good deep heat treat I would say not a good idea. But maybe someone has tried it...

I steamed reflex into a UniBond glued up boo, paduk, yew tri lam. Its Clint's favorite bow now :)
