Thxs!green rit dye and poly.
Mix the dye with the poly?
-
just put making one of those on my 'to-do' list, love it!
-
Thanks guys!dc I dilute the dye with a little rubbing alcohol, let dry and wipe it down with a damp cloth, light sanding to bring out some hilights and then seal it up with spray poly.a side note, armour all will speed up the curing big time!

Way to go bush! The transitions into the levers look really smooth. 8) Love the color and the tiller looks awesome. :OK
-
I like it.Nice work all around.Spot on.
-
Saved the pictures to remind what, in my eye, near perfection in this design looks like.
Lovely lines.
CONGRATS!

I've never been a Molly/holmgaard fan...but your looks great. I guess some day I need to learn how to make a bow that only bends in part of the limb and doesn't take any set... :BB Would you give the limb profile dimensions?
-
Have to say you nailed it. I was wondering about limb dimensions also.
-
Very nice! You have to have some skill to pull that unbraced profile off with such a small working area. And nice shooting gloves :D
-
Sweet bow! I love those curvy shapes with narrow levers. Smooth and fast!
-
What a bow, what a killer-tiller - Congrats bushboy!
I was never sure if I like the molle-design, but with these recurves...I think now I know what to try soon with this elm-stave I was promised by a friend... :BB

Thanks guys.the bow is 61" ttt,4" handle, fade are 1-1/2" and 2" wide, tapering down to 1"@ 14" from the fade and the beginning of the upper fade transition.the levers are 12" long to the tips, about 9/16" thick and 1/4" wide at the tips.i normally shy away from making the levers this long but there was a knot that I had to deal with.truelly a very stressed design but good elm is amazing stuff!thxs bush!
-
That's really good stuff. Good high weight for a shorty and beautiful strung profile and tiller.
-
Nice work
-
Sweet! That looks like a great bow.
-
That’s awesome! Beautiful profile! Amazing, that you could pull off a design that has more stiff than working parts with almost zero set!
Congrats!
:OK
Btw - would you tell me the brace height of that bow?
-
Brace is about 5", I like to keep it low as possible.i let this bow sweat for about 30 hrs in intervals of 3 hours before going to full draw.something I do with my elm bows now because of sudden draw weight loss and false tiller in the past.thxs!
-
Lovely bow. You did an excellent job with that one :OK
