After stupidly destroying my beloved project x I needed a recreational stave to calm down. A little branch - my first yew. It's 40" and simk jr is still struggling a bit - will have to adjust the draw weight carefully a bit i think.
Cheers

That's looking real nice. :)

I hope he realise what a cool bow that is! :)

that's a very nice bow
maybe a little thinning in the handle where arrow pass and a shorter arrows would make things easear for simk jr

thanx for compliments - del, at least he is aware of the fact, that his bow is of yew while mine is not ;D - glisglis, what are good arrows for children? don't have just normal shortend wood arrows have a too high spine? I need light short arrows with good spine for that little fast bow (that has maybe 20 to 25 pounds @ 20 and approximately 18 @ 16 which he draws - i didnt measure because the batteries of my tool are low). EDIT: and yes, glisglis, the handle isn't finished probably; he told me wants a bow without arrow pass like dad...we maybe have to talk about it again. cheers

No arrow rest could be ok
I was suggesting a narrower handle to deal with spine issues (more centershot)

Looks great, nice tiller! Your son looks like he has a fine place and way of growing up.

Yew-ie like that one a lot. That is a very cool first kids bow and should last for smik jr's. Kids. Nice job and like Don said A+ on the tiller.

Wow! Awesome bow! Love the tiller. Jawge

Wonderful. A lucky kid indeed.
Make sure you keep building bows for him as he grows, otherwise he or his friends will overdraw it. It would be a shame to lose such a lovely piece of your family's history.

Thanx again guys! I will not stop building bows - it's just too creative and fullfilling! But now it's my turn - it's about time for dad himself to shoot a nice little yew. Cheers and thanx all you forum members for sharing that great stuff about our passion!
-
Nice bow, that should calm you down for sure. :)

Great comeback! He'll grow into it and you should date it so when he outgrows it you can put it away and give it to him when he grows up. It would be a shame to lose it along the way of growing up.

Hey now! Very nice. :OK Don't know how I missed this one. Making one for your kid is an awesome feeling. :BB
