Title: What’s your preferred design for high crown staves?
Post by: Ryan Jacob on June 21, 2018, 03:07:48 am
Well, if that’s all I can get, I’ll work with it. Anybody got some ideas?

Just a simple bend through the handle bow with no recurves, but maybe heated in reflex. If one would really like to get more out of small sapling he could do a hollow-limb design bow!

It's seen very rarely but I think decrowning definitly is an interesting idea for high crowned staves. Haven't tried, but want to...it's on my list. Would like to hear about expieriences and see some pics. Cheers

It IS all I can get!  High crown wood makes great ELB, bend-through the handle D-bows and hollow-limb bows
