Mum's got a yew bow now. It's 61ntn and it feels like pulling 25-30# @ 25"and 35# @ 27"...not really measured.
After roughing out the stave took some set and while tillering it got even more; but i decided to leave it as it is.
I'm also not completly happy with the tiller - tiller was better @ 45#...but i decided to leave it as it is.
Yew is a nice wood to work - now it's dad's turn!
Cheers

Good one! I don't think there is a prettier wood than Yew
-
Very nice bow for Mum. :OK

Great looking bow. I like the tiller, and set on a yew bow seems to be relatively normal in my experiences. Even a 72" 50# bow takes a few inches, maybe its me.

Very nice!love the tips!need mum to do a full draw though.great work Mr sink!

tahnx guys
and for bushy i let her fd 8) tiller looks much better now for my eyes
and a little question about longitudinal cracks in yew-sap (pic 2): are they a problem - there are a few on one limb, 4-5 from the tips. Not much bend there. And one - almost invisible - at the knot. probably i only remarked them after i did the finish of the bow...

She looks very happy with that bow. :) I think the tiller looks really good. :OK
-
Those look like drying checks. I wouldn't worry about them at all.
-
Really pretty bow! Don’t worry about the cracks, I get them all the time and never have a problem with them

I bet your Mum said yew are a really nice son.
Looks great at full draw.
