Need a decoy.. Turkey bow.. 4 shot load for the muzzleloading shotgun.. I may not live long enough to get a second chance..

That is quite a wait! Time to apply for tags where there are more turkeys?! :G Of course, there is also a bit more of a hit in the wallet >:D! Getting the tag is one thing, getting the bird is another! Have a good time prepping and hunting

Thanks for the replies fellas.
We have a small batch of turkeys in Alberta Canada. Can go to Montana but it's expensive. It's something I wanted to do for a long time. Mostly I blame you guys. Reading posts about shooting turkeys. What's a fella to do. I am able to have good hunting around me. I get to hunt antelope every 8 years with a bow, Mule deer and whitetail buck or doe every year.
It will be a tough hunt. I'm as green as grass on turkeys. Oh the wait will be painful at times. Some bow hunting and maybe a flintlock hunt or 2 will settle my soul. Got 9 months to wait it out, Seems I done that twice before.
Thanks Leroy

Go in the field with a camera and call them in, and shoot them
Use a cannon, not nikon. That way you can say you shot the tukeys with a cannon. Practice calling them in close, and using a camera gets you practiced at moving without detection.

Not being able to turkey hunt would suck! It's my favorite critter to chase. Good luck with the hunt. I sure hope you bag one!
