Thanks Rob. Will you be sending out mailing info?
-
Pat if everyone can just contact the person below you.
-
Rob I sent my address to person above me. Stixnstones I think I understand that's the way it goes.
Bjrogg
-
so do i contact the person above my name or below my name??? just trying to clarify
-
The person above sends to you, you send to the person below.
-
You will need to PM the person above you your mailing address so they can send you arrow. At least that's the way I understand it. You send arrow to person below you.
Bjrogg
-
BJ that is correct.
-
Thank you for doing the trade this year Trapper.
-
Well my first attempt at a trade arrow didn't work. On to plan B.

Well my first attempt at a trade arrow didn't work. On to plan B.
Hummmmm Wonder what's up with this? It might be a drum shooting arrow from the Outlaw.
Paul, think I'd beware when opening plan B package. :)

A wise man once told me "if you lower your expectations you won't be disappointed" when dealing with Clint most things turn comical and I hope that's the case
-
Nothing comical today. I was trying something new and the arrow didn't like it. I snapped it into about 5 pieces and threw it away.
-
Took an inventory of potential trade arrow shafts, and decided I needed a drink! A strong one! A couple other crisises arose that needed tending to, but I got a good idea what I will use!
Hawkdancer
-
Hope warpath likes how unorthodox my arrows are!!! They’re gunna be unique for sure
-
I'm sure I have your address, Rob.
-
Rob, is there a not before date as far as sending out the arrow(s)?
-
not much but i got a start on mine last night
(https://i.imgur.com/w2lncUu.jpg)
-
Looks a little short, Dylan. ;D
-
It depends on how you use it pat >:D ;)
-
That's what they all say. :o
-
You guys can ship anytime.
-
Thanks Rob. Mine will go out early next week. I'll let you know when it does. :OK
-
I hope to get mine out by the end of next week.
-
i was hoping to ship this week but i cant get an answer from warpath. hope all is ok with him!
-
Mine went out today. Should be at new home on Wednesday.
-
Got Pats package last night, he really went above and beyond expectations. Packaged nicely inside the USPS box were (2) primitive style arrows, a sinew strip, pine tar stick, a handful of cane shafts, and a handful of turkey wing feathers. I've got a few new projects in my future!
Thanks Pat!
-
Eric, please post pics. :OK
-
Eric, please post pics. :OK
Ok, will do tonight when I get home :OK
-
ill be sending mine out sometime next week.
-
Ok here are the arrows, one sourwood shaft and one hillcane (SH) (SH)
-
Pat makes some killer arrows.
-
I don't remember who knapped the point but if anyone recognizes it please take credit.
The set up on the sourwood is called a "nutter". It is a 3/8" hex nut screwed on the point taper. I coat the point with super glue to harden the point and set the nut. This is a deadly point for squirrels and rabbits.
-
Neat idea, Pat! May have to borrow that.
Hawkdancer
-
Not my idea, Jerry but definitely worth passing on. I like cheap but effective. :OK
-
I got an arrow in the mail today. Ed
-
Mine is in the mail.
-
So how's everybody's arrow coming along?
-
I have a dogwood, and a hazel shaft straightened and ready, feathers cut and ground. Just gotta finish knapping a couple of points and ready to assemble. Cheers- Brendan
-
Was doing great until I figured out 2 of the Fletching were left wing and 2 were right wing! I think they fly funny that way! >:D. Got the nock cut, and the point mounted. Just have to fletch, sign, crest, finish, seal and mail! :NN
Hawkdancer
-
Just waiting on some glue to dry then to seal and fletch.
-
I'm still in the R and D phase of my guys arrow. The arrow will be out on time once tho
-
Honestly haven't started yet.. plan on makin and finishin this week

Received an arrow in the mail last night from Mr. Ed Brooks. Not only did he send a great looking OS arrow, he sent some raw OS shaft material, a back strap sinew, pitch glue, and some bison leather. Thanks Ed for the awesome arrow! I'm stoked to make some arrows out of these shafts. I will post pictures tonight.
-
Here she is. Thanks again Ed for an awesome arrow, and supplies!

Good looking arrow Ed.
-
Very nice arrow Ed! :OK
I cant tell from the pic, is it a bone tip? Would be cool to see a close up and get details on the tip. I have a piece of elk antler that might make a good point, that is, if elk antler is acceptable material to do so.
Ive been busy lately, but I should be finished tomorrow and get things shipped this weekend )P(
-
Got one more coat of Tru-oil to go, a few other things to find, then wrap, seal, and ship! Hopefully Sat. or Monday.
Hawkdancer
-
Here's a picture of point. It's made from OS.
-
Thanks HD,
Wow that is a really cool looking tip, OS is Ocean Spray(wood)? Must be pretty hard stuff?
-
Mine is shipped and should be arriving today.
-
Nice looking arrow and cool head! Os is super hard most is denser than water, probably good head weight. I will have to try this. Heat treat em' a bit... Cheers- Brendan

Wow, I need to see if there is something comparable in my neck of the woods. That would be fun to experiment with.
-
Thank you all for the kind words. This is one of my first OS points, they are hard as well tough stuff. It is fire hardened and will sharpen with sand paper. I like to play a little. It was fun to work with. Ed
-

There are some sweet arrows a goodies going out! Cheers- Brendan
-
A lot of nice arrows going out.
-
Got something from Clint today. Ill post pics tomorrow
-
Glad you got it Dylan. Those are some old broadheads that a guy got real cheap and they never went through final sharpening. I know you're capable of that. and as I was stuff in the tube I was just throwing any random extra stuff I had laying around. That's a piece of buckskin from the first brain tan I did.
-
Got my package sent out today, should be there in a few days. :OK
-
Got my package from Clint couple days ago, sorry for the delay of a pic. Clint went above and beyond and sent me a half a dozen arrows! I've tested them out of a couple different bows and one of my favorites to shoot shoots them exceptionally well. Thank you buddy
-
I'm glad you found a bow that likes them Paul. I'm sorry about plan A not working out.
-
After seeing plan B I wonder what plan A was. (A)
Very nice arrows Clint. Lucky you, Paul. :OK
There's lots of nice arrows and stuff going out. Well done everyone...so far. 8)
-
Dang Clint those are some nice arrows.
-
gunna have mine sent out here sometime this week. hopefully they are up to par with expectations.
-
Shipped my bundle today on the slow boat to Canada, eta, next Wed, 29August.

Real nice arrows, Clint!
Hawkdancer
-
Nice arrows!
I got two awesome arrows. One flu flu, wild turkey tail feather with a 357 case. With what I believe to be weed eater line crossed sticking out about 3/4" for stopping the arrow. The other one is sporting a trade point single beveled cut. It has turkey primary's for the hen feathers and I believe a goose for the cock feather. Both are crested with about 1 1/2" of red with 1/4" black bands on each end of the red. This is just above the halfway point on the arrow. The flu flu I believe is a planed shaft the hunter is a shoot shaft.
Thank you E.G.
Sadly I'm not able to resize pics to be able to post.
-
Glad you got the arrows Ed, I hope you enjoy them :OK
Spot on with the description of each, the hunter is a red dogwood shoot shaft.
That's a bummer about the pics, and I didn't think to take any before sending them out.
Still feel weird about using weed wacker line on the small game point.... Red weed wacker line would have made me feel better about it lol.
-
Still working on the arrow for CBG. Slowly but surely. Been slammed getting ready for Elk season opening up on Saturday.
-
Mines finished. Just have to get it in the mail.
-
Got one heck of a nice arrow from mullet today thanks Eddie I really like it.
-
Gotta be pics somewhere around. ::)
-
Glad you got it, Rob.
I got home and had two really nice arrows from Mr. G-Monee. One had a sharp trade point and a really cool looking fish arrow. I'll get some pictures up this afternoon.
-
Nice arrows Eddie.
-
Very nice arrows mullet. Lots of nice arrows going out. I got a nice arrow today from hawkdancer. It's a two fletch, with a duplex nail point. Also some shoots?, and some cane?, a chunk of leather and some split turkey feathers. Thanks alot Jerry! Mine will be finished up this weekend and sent early next week. Cheers- Brendan
-
Brendan,
The shoots are red oiser dogwood, the 2 shafts of cane taped together are from MoJam, the other is from Pat B, the leather is from a hide that was gifted to me to me. Makes soft grip covers. The making on the arrow are the ogham letters d & S for the Irish "damhsior seabhac" or Hawkdancer.
Hawkdancer
-
Nice swap going fellas. I really like those arrows G sent you, Eddie. That harpoon tip is sweet.
-
My arrows are done but sending them will need to wait till tomorrow or Saturday. Works had me on 16 hour shifts for the past week.
-
Chris, the harpoon tip looks like it will slip into a gator pretty easy.
-
If anybody's not going to be shipped by Sept. 10th leave me know.

Mullett, glad you like the arrows. The broadhead I got in the christmas trade last year. The fishing point a blacksmith friend made for me about 15 years ago. He modelled it after some he saw in Thailand or something like that. Still got 3 of them left. Not sure what to do with them.
G-Monee >:D
-
I’m glad you liked it. I’m not really good at making arrows at all but I figure it’d be the best way for someone to give me a few tips and tricks for me to become better.
-
Got my Trapper Rob arra today... it's a shoot shaft of some sort, i love it. Thank you sir.
-
Nice to see all the pictures guys. I actually got home before dark tonight and had a package from stixnstones waiting for me. Dang, it's a beauty Mike. Love it. Looks to be Obsidian point I'm sure you Knapped. I'm guessing hill cane? Wild turkey fletching, self notch, artificial sinew wrap. Man this is a clean straight fine arrow sir. Proud to have it in my collection.

Clint, I got mine. I sent mine out to my recipient on the 7th. The tracking number says it was picked up almost a week ago. Haven't heard a thing. A little communication would go along ways. Starting to not look so good.
Bjrogg
-
Got mine this evening! Little Fiddle Woman says it is even better in person! I plan to put a few finishing touches on the edge, and put it in the quiver for turkey hunting! Thanks, Cabinetbowguy!
Hawkdancer
-
Glad to know it made it ! Im sure that tube dident do any favors on the edge lol
-
I received this cool all natural arrow and supplies from Spearbearer. The USPS did their best to destroy it. It has a fore shaft and goose fletching.
-
Glad you got one Clint. I was hoping to hear from Spearbearer. I'm assuming the arrow I sent him was received. Looks like a nice arrow Spearbearer.
Bjrogg
-
I think everybody received if anybody didn't send me a PM.
-
Well, I got a nice PM from Spearbearer. He said he received his arrow and really liked it. Sure glad it made it there in one piece. Think I got a few pictures somewhere if I can find em yet.
Welcome to PA Spearbearer
Bjrogg
-
Sorry for taking so long and for the crappy pics, but I finally got my arrows sent to Mafort. He received them and says they fly great. These are the only pics I have. They are hazel and dogwood shafts about 75# spine. Triple flow/ fire obsidian heads, with turkey and turkey vulture fletching. Thanks for the trade Rob and everyone who participated. Cheers- Brendan
-
Those are some nice looking arrows.
-
They fly great and I’ve already processed two of the shoots you sent me. That’s some tough stuff to straighten out lol
-
Ocean spray makes the toughest shoot shafts in my opinion. They should make good arrows. Hope to see some pics when your done. Cheers- Brendan
