Just a quick one; I am sinew backing a bow, so how does that affect the mass calculator spreadsheet?

Andrew, I'd assume it does but maybe we better wait for Badger to chime in.
The sinew and glue adds physical weight but maybe the performance gain overshadows that.

I am sure it does affect it but I don't know how much. Anything that adds elasticity has the potential to lower the mass, I just have no idea how much.

Maybe if you built a 45 #selfbow weighed it . Then sinew the back weigh it again then compare draw weights and performance before and after . Could be interesting. You recon we could get a government grant for that? ;D (SH)
