Title: Tips on making tips
Post by: Ryan Jacob on August 20, 2018, 06:46:03 am
So, I, for some reason, can make decent points and blades but, for some reason. I keep making the tips crooked and by the time I correct them, the tips, end upmbeing thin and fragile neddles. I would show a pic of my recent one if it hadn’t fallen down a drainage pipe.

Without seeing you work on one, I can't say for sure what is wrong, but it may be that you are trying too hard to preserve all the length while doing that thinning and straightening. The more skill/practice you get, the better you can preserve length and width while thinning and shaping points.
