It will be coming right over us on Sunday. We are due north of Greenville, SC. and S W of Asheville, NC. I think we'll only get about 2" of rain and it may be breezy but we are protected from the north and east.

Anyone heard how things are at Isle of Palms, S. C.?  My sister is a 911 dispatcher there?

Jeb, Looks like the entire SC coast is in the center of the storm.
It reaches from Charleston to the VA border at present.
And as far west as the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Whelp, that was fun. We are a bit north if new bern and weatgered the storm fine. No power, but we were prepared. My okd house i was renting from a friend may be a total loss. But the house we are buying is 30 feet above the flood waters. Will be hitting up close neighbors to help with tree removal etc now.

It's just been wet and windy here in Winston Salem. I think this is going to be the worst of it for us.  (W

I hope so Weylin but the weather map shows the storm still picking up moisture from the Atlantic
near Charleston and sending it you way. At the same time the storm has reached Nashville TN
Lexington KY, Clarksburg WV and Charlottsville VA, It is brushing up against Ohio and PA.
We need more prayers and fewer rain drops.

All we got was about 2 1/2" of rain from the storm over 2 days and very little wind but other areas near here like Asheville, NC will have some flooding but not much.
Weylin, I guess this was your East Coast christening.   ;)
Lots of the water that falling as rain will be heading back towards the coast causing the already swollen rivers go higher.
