Title: Help with arrow tuning
Post by: Jayman on November 01, 2018, 08:16:12 pm
I just about completed my first bow from a stave. It's for my son 44" 13#@17". I found some youth arrows that were 26" obviously way to long. The arrows shot with tip down. So I cut the arrow down to 20 " and they still fly with tip down just not as drastically. I also get some arrows that fly all crazy to the left. I haven't finished the bow yet just in case it's the rest I cut in and not the arrows.

Try changing the nock point on the string. Also, try flipping them over so the cock feather is against the bow.

Ok I will try those suggestions. Thank you Pat. It actually doesn't have a nock on it I was holding arrow with my fingers but I did try moving nock point up and down a bit that way.
