Title: Christmas knives
Post by: dylanholderman on December 10, 2018, 10:15:09 pm
Terrible pictures but here are two knives I just finished up for a family cousin, handles are blackwalnut with a homemade mosaic pin and hollow stainless for the other pins.

If you can find a power source DIY electro etchjng isn't too difficult.  If you're interested in it I'll tell you what I know, otherwise I won't go in to details in case you already know how it works or just have no interest.

There might be info on electro etching in the How To section. I think Forest Trecker posted it a few years ago.

Very nice folder Dylan.  :OK   8)   I find it hard to use osage scales. They always seem to crack when I put the pins in.

Real nice job wire the Osage!  I"ll have to try that.  Keep my eye on the bone pile at MoJam for suitable scale size pieces!

Thanks guys I personally like he fine grained Osage if I’m going to use them as knife scales, I feel that it looks a bit better that way sense it’s such a small object compared to a bow.
