Got this wrapped almost a year ago but don’t think I posted it. Mt. lion quiver and bowcase. Went for a more utilitarian piece so I kept the beadwork at a minimum. Exposed hide is colored with yellow pigment mixed with hide glue. All sinew sewn except for the beaded panels and the beaded arrow cup which was done in artificial sinew (sacrilege I know). Human hair and red trade cloth decoration. Bighorn sheep bow and primitive arrows by Chuck Loeffler.

Very nice quiver and bow sleeve. The simplicity sets it off but the bead work is quite nice also. 8) :OK

Real neat! Very nice beadwork!

Are'nt enough words to express how cool/attention to detail that rig is.Top notch work on that all around. Thanks for showing it!The horn bow/and the pinch pull nocked arrows top it off.Congrats to Chuck on the bow.Have you shot it?
I see that's blonde human hair off the wrap beaded stiffener stick. From the past in my boxes of storage here I happened to see some painted sinew wrapped horse hair locks I made years and years ago back in the 80's.I'll need to put them on another brain tan shirt in the future.Happened to find all my horse tails then too.

I like the looks of that stuff but a lot of times it's kind of a pain if it gets caught on things.

Very nice! I’m guessing your inspiration was the one at the KU Natural History museum in Lawrence, Kansas? Theirs is is a nice one.

I may have seen it but I’m not sure I have. Do you have a pic or link to it by chance? My inspiration was actually the one worn by Rodney Grant from the movie Dances with Wolves. I’m wanting another lion hide to make another one, one that is more ornate

Here is the one from Lawrence. Not the greatest photos, but this is what I've got.

If you do the next one Central or Southern Plains, I have a couple of neat ones you may want to look at for inspiration.
