Where do you guys get your building supplies. I have used Boise bows and arrows but they seem to have changed things up or merged with someone else and don’t have much of a selection. I’ve also used 3 Rivers but they don’t carry as much as they once did. I did buy from other places but have forgotten names. Where do you guys get your wood, laminate, etc?

Check with Mike Yancey at Pine Hollow Archery, he carries primitive supplies.

Ccase39, I see that you are in New Orleans.
I’m in Thibodaux. I’ll send you a PM.

I primarily make self bows. I don't do lams bows.
I get boards from the box stores. Look for straight grained stock. I like red oak.
Log staves come from my land, gifts or shoots. Saplings make good bows too if left longer than usual.

Have you tried out Trading Post?

Kenny's custom archery may have what you need or you can try the Rosewood shop out of Missouri

Another good source it the various Bow jams around the country like OJAM in oklahoma in the spring, Tennesee Classic and MoJAM in missouri in the summer. I'm in the middle of the country so those are the ones we go to but I'm sure there are others. Another good source is right here with some of the guys. If you post some wants on the trade blanket you may find some sources you can trade with.
By the way, Mike Yancey is a good source for sure. He goes to OJAM most every year.
