Texas dropped the minimum width requirement for broadhead hunting points this past year, so something this small or even smaller could legally be used to take game animals with archery gear in Texas now.
That's good news for all the hunting points I've made that came out just a hair to narrow to meet the 7/8" minimum before it was changed this year.

Nice point! We still have to use steel, 7/8" width, straight edges for big game, 35# min bow wt. have to check out neighboring states to see what they require, if we decide to hunt there.

Nice point! Most the old ones are smaller yet.
I think I have a pile that fall in that same size range, just under :-K Ed

Are barbs allowed in Texas now or do we still need side notched points?

That will do the job.
