Hi friends,
This was a new venture for me. The design idea kinda just popped into my head and wouldn't go away until I attempted to bring it to life. (W
I harvested and prepared all the wood, which took time but was worth it IMO. It's ash, cherry, and osage. Once I had all 3 lams tapered and sanded I used dry heat to shape all 3 on a caul. Then I applied the epoxy, wrapped with inner tubes and clamped it back onto the caul. From there it was just careful tillering.
My goal was for the set-back handle to give just a bit at full draw and for the rest of the bow to share the work evenly.
Thank you to all who commented when I asked for input on the tiller a few weeks back. The full draw pic was taken shortly thereafter. :)

Thanks a bunch everyone. Not sure how, but I never saw these last six comments.
Can't wait to see your osage/sinew bow NorthHeart. How cool would it be if we got them together for a hunt one day? :)
Thank you stix and Don. It's definitely a challenge to get everything moving just right. I'm glad you think it looks like that's happening. (SH)

This is really an interesting design. The reflex right out of the fades is normally a bad thing that will lead to early stacking but with the reflex in the mid outer limbs it counters that. This combination sets the limbs up into a favorable position to direct the bend right into the sweet spot in the inner limb while still maintaining low string angles in the outer limbs. My biggest concern would be set in the bending area but still a great design and you did a great job on it.

Beautiful Bow!! I love them curves!
-
Well done! Beautiful bow.

Very pretty

Thank you all very much for chiming in. :)
I was wondering what you might think about this design Steve, I really appreciate your input. I think it helps that the innermost section of the bow starts to give around mid-draw. At that point the whole thing starts to function as one complete mechanism. It's always fun to try out something new and even better when you learn something from it.
