This is a Bamboo backed Ipe, not something I have used very often, and it's another bow I started a year ago then put aside, had this one pretty well tillered out. I pulled it down from the rack it was in a couple months ago and finished it up a few weeks ago. It's 62" long overall and pulls 55# @ 28". It has kept 50% of the reflex I glued in. I shot it quite a bit after I finished it and it is fast, for an RD bow. I kind of like this one

Truly gorgeous, Marc. I always enjoy looking at your work.
Wish I lived in the US so I could simply look at one of your bows with my own eyes - never mind shooting one.

Sweet really pretty bow. :)
I just made a Boo/Yew Ipe 50# ELB, I was surprised it took more set than a V similar Boo Yew both made for a flight shoot so I could choose the best one to take.... the boo Yew was best which surprised me :o

Beautiful bow and I bet it is fast. In my opinion ipe and good boo are a great combination. BB/ipe rd's are always my fastest bows

Thanks guys
The one thing I like about the dense tropicals is their resistance to moisture. They are not bothered by rain

Very nice!

Some bows just look fast. That looks like a burner.

Still one of my favorite wood combos. Such a hard hitting pair.

As to the green. I used an aniline dye
Even if you lived in the US Matt you wouldn't be able to look at my bows since I don't live there.
Yes I'm still able to pull back a few Lbs

Fantastic work, sweet profiles and nice finish.
Only thing I would have made different is the color of the handle leather, but that's just me ...

Great bow Marc. I use your bows as tillering lessons for myself. Thank you for posting them!

What Druid said Marc. They always look perfect. I don't think I could draw a picture of one better. Just beautiful profiles as always.
