Spent a few hours knapping with Tex yesterday and made this blade.
I need to work on flake scar patterns and alignment but it was fun making this blade and hanging out with Tex.

Nice blade. Third photo - so much knapping, your fingers are starting to take on a flint-like color.

Yeah I m just getting into knapping and I know i will get to your skill someday but right now Im just not seeing it. By the way I found out its way easier to knap with the right tools :-K

Rick, that must be a reflection cause I wear gloves while knapping. I'd hate to mistake my thumb for a heavy platform and do a overshot on it.
Deerhunter, The right tools and using them right is important. You should join the PITH trade.
her's another blade I did last night. One flake tried to dive and started a crack that caused me to have to be careful. It finally propagated to the edge so I quit hitting it after that.

Both nice blades. Thanks for clearing it up that there was a reflection in the photo. Sure looked like georgetown patina developing on your fingers.
