Title: Distracted goof up
Post by: Josh B on September 19, 2019, 10:14:58 pm
I made the mistake of trying to make a holster in a room full of truckers.  I had the thing completely sewn up before I realized the layout was backwards.  This was supposed to be a right handed holster.  Luckily I have several left handed kids so it wasn't a complete waste of time.  All that remains to be done is dress up the edges.

On the road again!   I understand being around truckers a lot can make you a bit ?, well do, strange things like flip a pattern!   Really neat lefthanded holster!  I have converted several right handed sheaths by flipping the leather, haven't tried it on a holster, though.  That looks a lot like a Ruger sticking out of the holster!   Drive safely!

Thanks!  It's a heritage rough rider .22lr.  I can buy 3 of these for the price of a Ruger.  The Ruger is a fine revolver, but not that fine. Lol

Now you just need to make a matching right handed one and get another revolver. Then you can do the two handed shooters thing . I'm sure your trucker buddies will like that and you won't have to admit you did it by mistake.

Josh, the left handed one goes on the left hand of your seat between the seat and door, keep your right hand on the wheel :o Bob

I've done the same thing with holsters and knife sheaths.
FYI, you could flip it inside out and finish it rough side out.

Thanks fellas!  My youngest daughter laid claim to it as soon as she saw it.  I'll just have to make another and pay more attention this time

"Sew me up another batch of leather, make it look nifty and keen". Ain't no music emoji, but the tune is "Cook me up some bacon and some beans", circa 1975!
