Both Elm staves. Reduced green, and put on forms, and left to dry in basement.

looks like a nice set-up for a fast dry. Please post some similar pics when they are dry, (without the clamps) showing us the springback if any

Here you go Willie.First pic is clamp free after heat treat. Very little spring back ,and no cracks. The second pic is 4 bows ready to tiller after Christmas with 2 to go.I will probably do 6 more like this before Christmas. Then I take my time getting them to finish. May take another year to get them all finished. I am 72 soon, and don't like working outside in the winter time. I have a super clean, well seasoned chunk of Osage that will that will yield 2 bows if I want to build one of those from scratch.
