Got our fist snow in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Just a dusting this morning and a bit coming down during the day, but at least it's not sticking.

South Dakota
We have had several snow events already this year. Usually early snows are dry and powdery. These have been wet, heavy, and sloppy messes.
-
We've not even had a frost or freeze yet. >:( I'm ready to start the new season.
-
We are getting a much cooler easterly breeze this evening down here in S Fl, but alas, no snow. (-S
-
Had a mix of snow & rain the other day
-
I got a late start on my sweet potatoes and they aren't in yet, so I'm hoping NC holds off its first frost for a while longer.
-
Scottish highlands got their first dusting last night but they're 450 miles north of me, its just warm and wet down here, not even had a frost yet
-
Still waiting here.
-
We have had 3 or4 real hard frost but that's it up here by the big lake. Bob

We will see some later next week. I welcome it. Me and heat above 60 degrees aren't friends.

Looks like a big one coming in Sunday- we are breaking hunting camp tomorrow and heading home!
Had heavy duty whiteout Wednesday and enough snow to make muddy roads! Getting the tin tipi out
Could be a challenge!

2 weeks ago 8'' wet slop. A silage corn field was laying flat on the ground.
Thanks Leroy

We've had a couple of sunny days so I'm thankful mother nature gave me a little early reminder that winter is coming. Put a new roof on the wood shed, and working on the roof on my tool shed before more wintry weather comes on Monday. Hopefully I won't have to break up ice columns in the sheds again this winter.

We got out ahead of camp ahead of the storm, but not the wind! High temp here was 76F yesterday and I'd 20F now, with 4"-8" snow forecast!

Supposed to get some snow here in Kansas this week.
Winter is coming...

Just got another round of snow, maybe inch to inch and a half.
-
got some yesterday
-
Got another 4"-6" on the way, maybe more. I think it is heading south and east! There will also be frost on the pumpkins(actually a flash freeze)!

Got a dusting in the valleys of Utah on Sunday. it is supposed to get down to 12 degrees Fahrenheit tonight with the possibility of more snow.
-
...and we might get our first frost/freeze this weekend and I am ready for it. I wish it would snow.
-
we saw or first snow of the year here.
-
Got our first last night. Most of it melted when it hit the ground. Glad we are down to our last 15 acres of sugar beets. The coop says the beet crop is 60% harvested. Sure hope it doesn't decide it just wants to freeze up now.

We finally got our first freeze/frost last night after 2 days of hard rain and heavy winds. We got 6.25" of rain in 2 days. That puts over 90" of rain for the year so far.

it looked just about like that over here on the west side of the state.
plus an inch of rain too boot.

Same here Kevin. It's supposed too get colder next week mid week. Our coop is hoping to get to 80% harvested by then. They can get hard to harvest after extended solid freeze even if it does thaw out again. There were a few guys trying it tonight. It can't be going good. They are getting pretty desperate. I'm hoping we can get the rest of ours Sunday. Supposed to rain again Monday and then get cold again

Whew, that's a lot of rain! Where are you? Pacific northwest I'm guessing?
BJ, hope you can get your beets in before the ground hardens up. I grew up in the Bighorn Basin (northern Wyoming) and it was always a race to get them in.

I live south of Brevard, NC. We have the second highest rainfall in the continental US only next to the Olympic Peninsula. Our normal amount, over the last 25 years has been 70" but last year we had 140" , this year not so much. (R

I had no idea it was so wet out there. I went to school in Portland, Oregon back in the 90s and we usually didn't see the sun from November until about April. It was always a challenge not to get depressed, being from cold but sunny Wyoming. It's all what you're used to I guess.

This is a small area where NC, SC and GA come together. It's along the Blue Ridge escarpment, where the mountains rise above the foothills. Warn moist air coming up from the Gulf hits the escarpment, rises and dumps right on us. It's not constantly overcast like Portland. We have lots of sunny days in all four seasons.
