Title: Record breaking Flight arrow at the Utah Salt flats
Post by: backwoodsguy on November 03, 2019, 09:17:36 am
The Texas Association of Buckskinners held their Fall Rendezvous on my property here in Texas Oct. 25-26-27. In attendance were several of our PA members including Jessica Garcia and her husband Robert Garcia. Robert made all of her arrows and built her bow. Jessica won a silver medal in the "50 lb Modern American Longbow" at 231 yards 1 ft and 1 inch. Another bronze medal in the "Regular Flight" Primitive Self 50# at 230 yards 9 inches. And what looks to be a gold Amy Van Domelen award "Primitive Self Bow 50# at 200 yards 5 inches. If anyone is interested in his bows or flight arrows, I would be glad to give his contact info to you via PM. As for our bow contest during the rendezvous, I used a bow made by "Mullet" and shot 13 points against her 38 points. Robert shot either 24 or 28 points. Husband and wife had a bet and looked like Robert was going to be cooking and cleaning the house for a while.
