Title: I didn't believe it!
Post by: Del the cat on December 12, 2019, 02:05:43 pm
Woring with my mate JT to get a warbow to brace for the first time. Eased off his pull on the bow/stringer... brace is 4"... 3" ... 2"... boing!
What's broken? Nocks are ok, string still in place.... What???!!!
My aluminium string adjust ring had been pulled apart (or cut through my the string).  :o :o :o
If I hadn't witnessed it I'd have said it was impossible !
There's a lot of tension in a braced warbow string!!!  :o
Video of us messing about with it  ;D here:-

I use a removeable chain link. Works great.

Aluminium work hardens. I suspect that is the problem here. Have you been using it for a while? As mentioned a steel chainlink will last forever.

Glad you and the bow survived, Derek.

Egads, sir!

By the way, you look more than a little like Walter White in Breaking Bad with the new facial hair.
