I shipped my package out last Friday because I was going to the PO anyway. It was going way over there to the northwest of here.   ;D
I received my package a few weeks ago but haven't opened it yet. Thought I'd wait til my package got the it's destination which should be tomorrow. Merry Christmas and Happiest of Seasons Greetings to everyone.

Package received.

Are we waiting till Christmas?  Because it'll be a hard wait.  Think I'm more excited about this box than anything else.

My posting repeated from the pics thread:

Got my package today and my guy, who can no longer hide behind anonymity,  put alot of rhought in to it.

Thanks!

So there's some shafting that I'm not familiar with, a buck skin pouch, natural fletching, half a circular saw blade along with trade point stencils and the beloved Napa hacksaw blades, a couple of wood scales, and the strangest arrow straightener made from a section of automotive leaf spring  ;D(already toying with some knife ideas)

I got mine from Pat B today.  I'm actually going to wait for the day to open it, though.  Now that I'm a father of teens, I don't really get to open a lot of presents on Christmas, so I want to save it and enjoy surprises along with everyone else.  I also put Trapper Rob's gift in the mail today.  So, I'm late getting it on the way, but the Post Office claims it will still be there in time.  I hope it is worth the wait.  It is something I've wanted to make for a long time.  We shall see what he thinks...

I’m unfortunately unable to post pics.
I received a package in the mail today. I kinda feel bad about opening it since I haven’t shipped yet, I will ship soon.
I first noticed a USPS applied “ship damage tape” to one end. So I hope everything made here, what I found in the package was a leather bag. In the bag, I find an awesome looking knife with a deer antler handle in a sheath made of leather and rawhide. Also I found a nice piece of beeswax, the last thing I found (I think ) a bunch fire starter blocks made from dryer lint and beeswax. Thank You! Mr. Woolery.
Thanks again. Ed Brooks

I will be sending my package monday. I had an accident at work so I will be sending my guy a set of yew billets and a take down sleeve and some other stuff to make a yew takedown. Soe leather and such. My accident will keep me out of bow building for a few weeks because I cut my fingers bad. Sorry it's not going to be there before Christmas but I will get there shortly after.

Rob, did you figure out how to swap blades yet?

That knife is inspired by the only Viking context folder I’ve seen good documentation for. You get either a short blade or a long one. Both are very sharp.

I make two of most projects. I’m carrying the mate of yours. I sent you the one with slightly smoother folding action. If nothing else, it is a wonderful novelty to show other knife lovers.

Patrick I'll check that out I thought it did but didn't want to force something I shouldn't.
I'm going to try making some of those I really like it.

The link I posted in the past to my blog shows the pivot area pretty well. I suggest being really slow and careful as you adjust that part. It is the finicky part of making these. I now carry mine daily on my belt. I have yet to need the long blade. The short one does all I normally need.

Glad you like it!

Can you repeat that link?  I don't remember seeing it.  Thanks.  Also a build along would be neat! (f)

My primary steel is coil spring. That’s what I used for your knife, Rob.

I'll be shipping today as long as I can get to the post office before it shuts. I came home yesterday to a box of goodies from Warpath which really pushed me to get mine finished :)
Warpath sent me an absolutely beautiful set of arrows, a stack of leather, and a beaver tail! I'll post some pics, I just need to get on my desktop to resize them.

Got package from Yosemite Ben, with a very nice native made Manzanita wood working mallet and a Yosemite Jr Ranger badge - I must be one of the seniorest Jr. Ranger around (lol)!  Also a "rain check" for another mallet.  Pictures later!

Just a quick update while I cook that mine got here.  TrevorM sent me an egg tanned rabbit hide (well done, if I may say,) a cake of beeswax, which was sorely needed as my last went to my swap victim, and an awesome knife, which fits my hand perfectly.  That's no small feat considering how big my hand is.

I'll get the obligatory pics when we finish eating.
