Last year I sawed some dead ash logs and put them on my man cave walls. Over the holidays I hung some stuff I made up. Starting to look pretty cool.

I made four shelves from basically scrape wood I saved just for this purpose. They turned out nice. I made arrow displays from driftwood I collected on the beach. I've still got lots of ideas. This building has been a work in progress for the entire 26 years I've lived here. Looks like it will still be till they put my ashes on the wall.

Looks Great

Very cool, BJ. Didn't realize you were also an interior decorator. ;D
-
Thanks Brian
Thanks Pat. I didn't either. I might have to be careful. I think when the wife sees it she might want me to do the house.

Way cool BJ :OK ! Bob

You did an awesome job Brian.

Thanks everyone. I really enjoy doing stuff like this. I like taking all this stuff the good lord gave us and modifying it, rearranging it and letting it compliment it's natural beauty. It's so nice to have a place to put it.

Meet Pappy a couple times at Elm Hall Shawn. I'm thinking he was in his relaxation mode there. His chance to enjoy someone else putting everything on. I'm straight east of there all the way to the big lake.
Thanks WB
Pappy maybe someday I'll visit your cabin. Your always welcome to visit mine.

Way to go Brian, 3 plus years here in OKC and most all my stuff is still in boxes. John
-
Thanks John. Know what your saying. I hate moving. I still got stuff in boxes from when I moved back in 1984. I'm not done yet. But I got a nice start.
If you ever get back to Michigan, I'd love to spend some time with you.

Very nice work Brian. If I get over to Alpena this summer to visit my buddy I will let you know and maybe I can head up your way for a cup of Joe and a visit.
-
Thanks Jeb. I'm actually quite a bit south of Alpena Especially if you have to go around the Saginaw Bay. I'm pretty much straight East of you I think. About a hour north of Port Huron. You sure are more than welcome. Love to show you my neighborhood.

Well so much for me knowing Michigan, lol. You have a mill or do you run your boards thru a planer. If it is a planer, which one to you have?
-
Jeb a friend of mine has a sawmill. It's a pretty nice one. A woodmizzer band saw type. I actually didn't plan it. The bandsaw did a pretty nice job and I didn't want it to look perfect. I use a hand held belt sander to knock any fuzzies off. Then after I put it on the walls I put three coats of polyurethane on
